Gas-Powered Engines: ECHO® gas-powered chainsaws have several possible serial number locations: on the handle, above the oil cap, or in front of the unit next to the guide bar, and is 12 characters long. Older units may have an 8 digit serial number. The serial number can also be found on the box near the barcode.
