Blower or Vacuum Tubes Are Hard to Install or Remove

Blower and vacuum tubes are designed to fit tightly. This secure fit helps prevent air leaks and ensures the unit operates at peak performance.

Tubes Are Difficult to Install

A snug fit is normal and expected.

Before installing the tubes:

  • Make sure the tubes are properly aligned.
  • Remove any dirt or debris from the connection points.
  • Apply a small amount of warm, soapy water to the connection area if additional assistance is needed during installation.

Tubes Are Difficult to Remove

Over time, dirt, debris, or normal wear can make the connection between the tubes tighter.

To help remove the tubes:

  • Clean the connection points regularly.
  • If needed, apply a light, non-petroleum-based lubricant to the connection area.

Inspect the blower or vacuum tubes and their connection points for damage. If the problem persists, have the product inspected by an authorized ECHO® dealer. Use the Dealer Locator to find a dealer.
