Straight Shaft: Straight shaft trimmers provide extended reach and better leverage, making them ideal for larger areas, trimming under shrubs, and working around fences. They are built for heavier-duty tasks and are typically compatible with ECHO® attachments, increasing their versatility.

Curved Shaft: Curved shaft trimmers are shorter and lighter for easier handling, making them ideal for small yards, tight spaces, and detailed edging tasks. They offer excellent maneuverability but are generally not compatible with additional attachments.
