What happens if an ECHO® product has been affected by a recall?

Modified on Wed, Sep 24, 2025 at 9:10 AM

There are several ways to confirm if an ECHO® unit has been affected by a recall. The model and serial number are required for verification.

  • ECHO® Website: Learn More
  • Knowledgebase: Search for the model number in the Knowledgebase. If the model has been affected, recall information will appear at the top of the article. Use the serial number to confirm.
  • Business Portal: Search for the model number in the Business Portal. If the model has been affected, search results will provide a recall notice. Use the serial number to confirm.
  • Customer Letter/Email: Customer may have received a letter/email correspondence advising their model was affected. This will only happen if the customer has registered their product.

If a recall has been confirmed, the unit should not be started or operated. It must be taken to an authorized ECHO® dealer for evaluation and repair. Product registration or proof of purchase is not required for this service, and there is no cost to the customer.
