Blower/vacuum tubes are hard to install or remove

Modified on Tue, Nov 4, 2025 at 9:56 AM

Blower/vacuum tubes may be hard to install or remove due to their tight, secure fit, which is designed to prevent air leaks and ensure optimal performance.

Hard to Install: The snug fit is intentional to maintain proper operation. Ensure the tubes are properly aligned and free of debris before attaching. Applying a small amount of warm, soapy water can help ease installation

Hard to Remove: Dirt, debris, or wear at the connection points can make tubes fit more tightly over time. To assist with removal, clean the connection areas regularly and, if needed, apply a light, non-petroleum-based lubricant.

If the blower tubes cannot be installed or removed, the unit should be taken to an authorized ECHO® dealer for evaluation.
