Is the carburetor on the ECHO® engines adjustable?

Modified on Thu, Oct 2, 2025 at 12:06 PM

Gas-Powered Engines: Yes, all carburetors can be adjusted. Each ECHO® product is factory-set with a standard carburetor adjustment designed to deliver an optimal fuel-to-air mixture for most operating conditions. ECHO® does not provide carburetor adjustment procedures or the tool required to make such adjustments. This is not a matter of company policy, but rather a result of strict emission regulations set by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). These regulations apply to all manufacturers of 2-stroke engines, and all companies in the industry are required to comply with these guidelines. For proper adjustment of the product, it must be taken to an authorized ECHO® dealer. Carburetor adjustments are covered under ECHO®’s warranty for the first 30 days following purchase. After this period, carburetor adjustments are considered routine maintenance and are no longer covered by the warranty.

Battery-Powered Engines: Battery-powered ECHO® engines do not require a carburetor adjustment as there is no carburetor, fuel, or air mixture to adjust.
