What is the purpose of the cold weather insert for ECHO® blowers?

The cold weather insert, also called an air intake cover, is designed for select ECHO® backpack blowers to prevent cold air from reaching the operator’s back during use in colder temperatures. This part is optional and based on personal preference. While blower performance may be slightly reduced, it will not cause damage to any components. To confirm whether a specific model includes the cold weather insert as standard, check the model and serial number against the parts catalog.
