Fuel Tank Grommet or Fuel Lines Are Difficult to Install

The fuel tank grommet and fuel lines are designed to fit tightly to help create a proper seal and prevent fuel leaks. As a result, installation may require additional effort.

Before installation, the fuel tank grommet may be soaked in hot water for several minutes to make it more pliable. Do not soak the fuel lines in hot water.

A small amount of clean 2-stroke engine oil may be applied to the fuel tank grommet and fuel lines to help ease installation. Do not use sharp tools or objects to force the components into place, as they may damage the fuel tank grommet or fuel lines, resulting in fuel leaks.

If the fuel tank grommet or fuel lines still cannot be installed, have the product inspected by an authorized ECHO® dealer. Use our Dealer Locator to find a dealer.
