What do the letters or numbers mean at the end of an ECHO® model number?

AA, AB, & SP:  Models purchased from Home Depot may include these letters after the model number. This is an internal packaging code does not indicate any difference in the product. Models with or without these letters are identical. 

 

Blowers:  

  • H: Hip (Throttle is located at the hip)
  • T: Tube (Throttle is located at the tube) 
  • S: Side Air Filter (Model features a side access air filter) 
  • LN: Low Noise (Model features 65 dB(A) per the applicable ANSI standard)
  • L: Lite
  • E: Electronic Ignition (Model features an electric ignition) 
  • i: i-75 Starting System (Model features a reduced effort starting system)


Chainsaws:

  • P: Professional Cutting System (Model features engine and feature upgrades)
  • PW: 
    • "P" Professional Cutting System (Model features engine and feature upgrades)
    • "W" Wrap Handle (Model features a wrap handle)
  • T: Top Handle (Model features a top handle)
