Shock/burn from spark plug

Modified on Wed, Oct 1, 2025 at 11:46 AM

A shock or burn from the spark plug is usually caused by a crack in the spark plug boot, which can expose the spark plug and/or terminal. A larger spark plug boot can be offered as goodwill, Part #A429000210. The larger boot is installed over the existing boot, providing extra insulation between the spark plug and the operator. If the issue persists, the unit should be taken to an authorized ECHO® dealer for evaluation.

For customers who may have sustained a burn, please treat this as an injury report.
